Ironbuilt Infrastructure is currently executing a crucial project for Eurobodalla Shire Council, upgrading three sewage pump stations in Tuross Heads.
This $5.2 million project focuses on enhancing essential wastewater infrastructure at multiple sites across Tuross Heads, including SPS TU04, 07, and 06. Ironbuilt Infrastructure’s scope encompasses the upgrade of storage tanks, valve pits, manholes, and sewer mains, alongside intricate electrical work and complex shoring. The project presents unique challenges, including working alongside the Tuross River, necessitating stringent environmental management. The team, led by Project Manager Tapp Lautasi and Site Supervisor Joel Ledger, is also navigating the complexities of coordinating with live sewer systems, managing resident access, and ensuring smooth traffic flow within the tight-knit neighbourhoods of Tuross Heads.
Our scope included 3 off sewer pump station upgrades:
- Storage tanks up to 5m deep by 6m diameter
- Valve pits, Manholes and other concrete structures
- Sewer Rising Main and Gravity main construction
- Switch Board upgrades including Level 1 ASP works
- Deep excavation and complex shoring
- Working along side an open water channel, Tuross River providing detailed environmental management
- Resident management including access management
- Coordination with live sewer, and tight areas within neighbourhoods.
- Traffic Management
