Ironbuilt Infrastructure is delivering a 2.5km sewer main package in South Nowra for Shoalhaven City Council. Working through a constrained brownfield corridor, the team is managing challenging ground conditions, live traffic and active stakeholder coordination across the full length of the alignment.
This is a technically demanding project in a live urban environment – hard rock, groundwater and existing services all present throughout the works.
Scope of works includes:
- Excavation through hard rock and challenging ground conditions
- Continuous dewatering and groundwater control
- Installation of new sewer mains and connections
- Live traffic management and staging
- Stakeholder coordination throughout the works corridor
- Site testing, remediation and commissioning
The Shoalhaven Sewer Mains project demonstrates Ironbuilt’s capability to deliver complex sewer infrastructure in brownfield urban environments – managing hard rock excavation, dewatering and live service coordination simultaneously while maintaining programme and minimising disruption to the surrounding community.
