Ironbuilt Infrastructure is currently undertaking a crucial project for Shoalhaven City Council, upgrading and constructing sewage pump stations in Nowra.
The Nowra Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) project, valued at $6.2 million, is vital to improve the region’s wastewater infrastructure. Ironbuilt Infrastructure’s scope of work includes the complex upgrade of one large pump station and three additional stations. The project involves deep excavations, intricate shoring systems, and careful coordination around existing sewer lines and high-traffic areas.
Ironbuilt Infrastructure were contacted to complete the following:

- Storage tanks up to 5m deep by 6m diameter
- Valve pits, Manholes and other concrete structures
- Sewer Rising Main and Gravity main construction
- Switch Board upgrades including Level 1 ASP works
- Deep excavation and complex shoring
- Co-ordination of live sewer, and tight areas in towns
- Traffic Management
1 off sewer pump station upgrades:
- Large wet well construction 12m deep by 7m diameter, including shotcrete shoring system, excavation into 8m of hard rock
- Valve pits, Manholes up to 10m and other concrete structures
- Sewer Rising Main and Gravity main construction
- Switch Board upgrades including Level 1 ASP works
- Co-ordination of live sewer, and tight areas in towns
- Deep excavation and complex shoring
- Traffic Management
