Ironbuilt Infrastructure is delivering a new sewer pump station for Sydney Water through the Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) alliance in Calderwood, one of the Illawarra’s fastest growing residential corridors.
The pump station is a key piece of permanent wastewater infrastructure designed to service Calderwood’s expanding community for decades. The project involves deep excavation, hard rock conditions and extensive dewatering – all managed concurrently within an active development environment.
Scope of works includes:
- Bulk earthworks to 13m depth including hard rock excavation
- Wet well chamber construction
- Valve pit construction
- Gravity main installation
- Extensive dewatering operations
- Mechanical installation including pump systems
- Rising main pipework installation
- Switchroom building construction
- Ancillary civil works including roads, carports and reinstatement
The Calderwood Sewer Pump Station demonstrates Ironbuilt’s capability to deliver technically demanding wastewater infrastructure in live growth corridor environments – managing complex ground conditions, deep excavation and multi-discipline coordination under a structured alliance delivery framework.
