Ironbuilt Infrastructure is proud to be delivering critical civil works at the Glenellen Solar Farm Substation, supporting the development of one of the region’s key renewable energy projects.
Partnering with TEC-C, our scope of work encompasses extensive civil infrastructure required to support the future operation of the substation. This includes bulk earthworks, structural foundations, pavement construction, electrical trenching, and drainage works — all tailored to meet the high standards required for major energy infrastructure.
Scope of works includes:
- 15,000m³ cut/fill, including Level 1 certified fill
- 8,500m² of multi-layer pavement construction
- Construction of concrete structures including transformer bunds, spill oil tanks, and multiple F-type footings
- 1.5km of underground conduit installation in complex multi-bay configurations with pits
- 1.5km of stormwater drainage including pits
- 4km of earthgrid installation
- Internal roadworks including spray seal and asphalt application
- 8,000m² of 80mm aggregate installation for the substation surface
- Installation of high-security perimeter fencing
Despite the usual challenges of regional delivery and unpredictable weather, Ironbuilt Infrastructure has maintained pace with an accelerated program, bringing the completion schedule forward by one month at the client’s request. Thanks to the dedication of our site team and local crew — Kaine, John, Kushan, and Anish — progress remains firmly on track.
This project reinforces Ironbuilt’s reputation for delivering large-scale, high-spec infrastructure under tight timelines while supporting the transition to clean energy across regional New South Wales.
